SONG, VISION, STORIES

We PRACTICE being community beside each other in song, story and visioning.

✓Weekly Chant Gathering, Sundays 10 am pst.

✓ Monthly COMMUNITY VISIONING COUNCIL MEETING

Through practice, and the practice of community, we weave a web that holds the preciousness of our dreams, visions and hope (vision with expectation of that vision being possible).

Come, Let's Gather!

COMMUNITAS is a space to practice being community beside each other as peers, all valued as teachers of experience.

The resources and community of the COMMUNITAS container bring us more in touch with the inner life material that informs how we do what we do, and acquaints us more and more with our why.

As we practice, we move the ineffable into the practical. We bring Source into form.

So many of us yearn to re-member community. In the years we have been gathering for Chant, we have found seeds to practice BESIDE each other about what it means to be community in these times, prayer and what it means to pray, vision and the importance of practicing HOPE beside others, and the soul’s need to sing with others.

Community is something to be re-membered.

It’s not quick. It’s not a sitcom about besties that all live on one city block. It cannot just be with human. It’s not even about liking each other!

We nor I have the whole answer, but we have found that there is SO much potency in spending time together in the direction of practicing being community beside each other. I, Meg, facilitate this container, and WE fill it with our teachings, our joys and sorrows, our DREAMS!

Each small step we have taken as a group of folks from many walks of life from all over the country has mattered. We evolve, and more is revealed.

It’s a little odd to sing together in virtual spaces, as we can’t hear everyone, but somehow we’ve truly created an intimate, supportive, companioning, uplifting space.

We gather in the LIMINAL.

We revel in JOY in being in each other’s presence.

We hold space for both the SHIMMERS and the SHADOWS of life.

We cultivate PRESENCE and POTENCY in practicing sharing our stories, teachings, requests.

It’s naked and empty. We come as we are and share in what’s revealed.

And, it’s sweeter to be in practice with friends! Might you be called to walk the way beside us?

What's Included?

Weekly Chant Service

This INTERSPIRITUAL chant gathering is the hearth heart of COMMUNITAS. Meg has written over 40 chants that drop in about presence, agency, ancestors, embodiment, love and more. We sing, vision, pray, co-weave a sermon, and sing some more while practicing being beloved community.

Monthly Community Vision Council Meeting

Once a month, usually on the third Sunday of the month after our chant service we’ll extend our gathering for an hour to practice visioning together. Vision, voice and witness generates energy that we can practice directing with potency.

Curious?

Here's what folks are saying about COMMUNITAS

"Can community, alchemy, and wisdom be harnessed in a zoom? Yes! Meg's chant gatherings and other offerings are an integral part of my creative and spiritual life."

Kay Kay

"They say when the student is ready the teacher appears. I certainly found that to be the case with Meg and PRACTICE. I could never get started with daily creative practice but Meg showed a way forward. Her book Don't Just Do Something, Be Here has also been integral to my daily practice and wellbeing. I am so glad that PRACTICE is part of my life!"

Jacqueline Manni

"This is the most worthwhile membership i've ever had...on top of getting to immerse myself in Meg's poignant conversations with fascinating people every month in practice live (what's shared always hits home with me, no matter the topic), I get to meet every week with a beautiful group of humans for chant...I've never had anything like this in my life before, and it's the most grounding, nourishing, and uplifting part of my week - gathering with folks from all over, showing up as we are, holding a safe space for each other to connect through our shared humanity, singing, laughing, sometimes crying, all while being gently guided by meg to explore different facets of our inner and outer experience...I'm so grateful to have found this..."

We become what we practice. We become what we draw our time, energy, attention, and actions towards. It therefore matters that what we practice is of fine quality.
