Seen and Unseen - Artist Statement

I strive to reach into where magic and the Great Mystery dwell, and bring the ineffable into intimate encounters through paint.

I’m drawn to the paradox where quiet moments within the process of transformation meet the wilderness of such change. Those moments where we become something beyond what we've previously known ourselves to be.

My work lives at that threshold—between what is dissolving and what longs to be born. Each piece is both invocation and love letter, an attempt to translate the shimmer of unseen worlds into forms we can touch. Through color, texture, and symbol, I create portals that invite others into their own dialogue with wonder.

Artist Bio:

Meg received her BFA in Printmaking from the Maine College of Art in 2005 and is currently completing the Milan Mastery Program. A lifelong love of color, symbolism, and wild mark making led her to explore print, where the process of making multiples became an alchemy of release—teaching her to relinquish the preciousness of each piece. The inherently collaborative nature of printmaking, creating with and in front of others, planted the seeds of her current work as a teacher and inner life wilderness guide.

Meg has maintained a daily creative practice since she was 17, and since December 2015 has painted every day without fail. For 2,740 consecutive days she created a new painting daily; about half of those works, alongside other pieces, now live with collectors around the world.

Passionate about empowering others to recognize their sovereignty, Meg creates work that serves as a tuning fork for the imagination—entraining viewers to a more generous, embodied reality. Through her paintings and teachings, she invites people not only to envision a more beautiful world, but to feel it. As a leading voice on the necessity of accessing the inner world and acting on its truths, Meg’s art calls forth the courage to translate inner knowing into forces of earthly good, offering pathways into the deep imagination required for our times.
