THE PRACTICALS:

Tallen Mae

“Creative companionship with you has moved at the speed of presence. You have not only companioned the work itself, but the roots of the work—nervous system, imagination, history, dreams, earth. You recognize the whole being involved in the creative process, and creativity as blueprint to any futures we truly want.

The writing classes I took in college focused on craft and product. While those classes have served my growth as a writer, you have companioned me in writing something I can breathe inside of. As you said in a recent session, “the product is a reminder of the process.” Expanding the creative process from the walls of my mind, breathing into my body with it, has made presence itself more pleasurable. How we hold the work is what it will carry. Thank you for this ongoing teaching.

I feel a deep trust in your heart and hands to hold my work with a dedicated love. Thank you for getting it, for meeting me there, and for pushing me just enough.”

“Working with Meg has been such a heart opening and deeply spiritually nourishing experience. Through working with her, I have grown in ways I never imagined possible.

I first encountered Meg at gallery opening where she was showing her collection of daily paintings. One of her pieces leapt out at me (it’s actually deeper than that, I feel like one of her pieces spontaneously healed me just in seeing it, and I’m not even like that). At this same event she sang some of her chants for a small group of us that were completely mesmerized by her voice and presence. Something deep and ancient was stirred in me in a way that I could not ignore. I started my journey with chant service on Sundays, then weekly group work, one-on-one sessions, and am now in Soul Friend.

Through all of this, Meg has helped me tap into what is deep, true and vital within myself. She’s helped me find and feel safe in the sanctuary within. She’s supported me in taking big steps to claim myself and my path. She’s helped me find language to express my inner wisdom and truths, previously shrouded by self doubt, and nay-saying voices that weren't even my own. I’ve felt safe enough to share with her who I actually am, what I actually long for and hold vision for in my life - and somehow each time, I’m met by her with an emphatic Yes, Yes, Yes…”
